Ok, Mike here we go.
Henry Torwelle was married to Henrietta Leker according to the marriage of their son Otto. Henry died in at Ireton 1927 according to the Cemetery Index, Henrietta is not mentioned in the cemetery index. I can look up the death dates at the court house if they were recorded there. Then I can find an obituary. I can also look up other children's marriage to see if the name Leker is spelled the same way as the mother's name.
The family was in the 1900 census of Sioux county Center Township.
Henry was born Jan 1851 and Henrette was born Jan 1861 They had been married 14 years and had seven children. Charles 13, Mary 12, Henry 10, William 8, Otto 6, Augusta 4 and Hattie 2.
Otto married Aug 16, 1917 to Lill Kluter at Ireton.
Henrietta was living in Center Township Sioux county in 1930 census by herself as head of house. She was 68 years old came to USA from Germany in 1890.
I can almost tell you that Grandmother Meiernandorf's first name was Mary as both the sisters had first daughters named Mary.
I will do more checking.
