This sure sounds like my mother-in-law's family, but she had heard that George Bennett was a child born out of wedlock, raised by Joseph, and that Joseph was married to Nancy Wright--could she be Nancy Metz Bennett Wright Hall? The 1880 census shows her born in PA with her father born in Ireland,and her mother born in PA. We never knew that Joseph Hall had other wives!
My mother-in-law remembers hearing about Vera Bennett, George Bennett's daughter. Do you know anything about her?
Joseph Hall's son William, married Mary Almira McCoy, daughter of Elizabeth Metz, in some records called Nancy Metz, and Andrew Jackson McCoy.
I am eager to share information--and have many old pictures, copies of obituaries, wills, etc., as well as a picture of Joseph Hall's gravesite, which we visited in April 2002.
If you look at the link below to the Ancestral File on familysearch.org you will find work done by William Hall, who has written a book about the Hall Family, and he does not show any other wives at this point, so I will try to contact him about this information. His wife did research on the Emmanuel Metz family, also on Family Search, I believe.
