I'm not related but checked some records. The 1870 census for Pottawattamie County, Iowa, enumerated 24 August, shows:
Wahrhahan, Louis, 28, butcher, b. Bavaria
Wahrhahan, Margaret, 23, wife, b. MO
Wahrhahan, Annie, age 2, b. IA
Wahrhahan, Philipina, 4 mo., female, b. Feb, b. Iowa
Ackermann, B., age 28, female, b. Prussia

In the 1925 Iowa state census for Pottawattamie County, Iowa, Anton Wehrhahn states he is age 59, his father was "Luies Wehrhahn of Germany and mother Margaret Dilgarb, of Germany."
