In Response To: Chamberlain family (Bill Edel)

After corresponding with the authors about this query, what they are searching for are living descendants of the family of Laura E Chamberlain Schoonover who lived in Laurens in the 1920's or 1930's.
Laura E Chamberlain, born 7-12-1870, is the daughter of Iris C (born 2-2-1832) and Emma Seely, the daughter of Darius and Esther Mary Bartlett. Emma was born 5-27-1839.
In 1880 the Chamberlain family lived in Howard County, town of Saratoga. Their family consisted of Fred, Edgar (who married Inez, daughters Hazel and Zella), Mary, Horace (who had a son Curtis), Bertha, Laura (who I believe had a daughter named Emily Janet Schoonover Idso Green, who was living in 1981. Harry Schoonover operated a lumber store in Laurens. Emily had no children. She had a nephew with surname Strampe.)Nelson (who married Blanche), Mary (who married Charles Penny), Alice and Lou.
Perhaps this will help others connect you to your family. I was not able to connect to the Schoonovers, perhaps someone else can. You might also try the local genealogy societies. There are links to them on the IAGenWeb pages.
