Seasons greetings Christine, The gracious lady Lynn is quite busy these days with all her demanding undertakings so maybe a whole lotta' ugly can help you this time. The 1885 Ia state census for Muscatine has a 20 y/o Muscatine born Sherman Springer but apparently married to a Lizzie Springer. Sherman's occupation is butcher. The 1880 for Muscatine has a 23 y/o Jeremiah and 15 y/o Sherman Springer in another surnamed household. Sherman is an apprentice butcher. The 1870 for Bloomington twp, Muscatine co. has a household of a male G.A. SPENGER born Germany. Jeremiah is 14 and there is also a male G.W.S. Spenger 5, in the h/h. Think G.W.S. is your Sherman W. You can then go to the 1860 census for the George A. Springer household. Dick
