Find unlisted cemetary

We have an ancestor Archibald Pierce who died in Chariton.....we have checked the cemetaries, and find no information....He was listed as an idiot in the 1836-1925 Iowa state census ... he was age 49 living with his mother Mary age 54 and sister Nancy Cramer aged 59.....

in the 1900 Us Fed Census Archibald was 56 and living with his sister Nancy Cramer age 75. in Chariton ....(We know his father is buried in the chariton cemetary with his sister Nancy cramer ?????? the site is ( S )next to Ezra Stout

We checked at the Chariton court house and they told us they were aware of a cemetary where I thought they said paupers or insane persons were buried but did not have enough time to confirm this info.

Can you shed any light on this problem
