Living in the Montrose area, several of your surnames sound familiar - however, I am not related to any of them. The History of Lee County, Iowa, Western Historical Co, Chicago, 1879 gives the following info:
Page 761: Johnson, J., farmer, Section 18: P.O. Summitville.
Page 761: Johnson, W.R., farmer, Section 36; P.O. Summitville.
Page 763: Patton (dif spelling), C.H., engineer, Montrose.
Page 759: Carpenter, C.L., farmer, Section 36; P.O. Sandusky.
Page 762: Le Fevre, A.I., farmer, Section 9; owns 40 acres land; resided in Montrose, where he owns a fruit block; he was born in Farmington, Iowa, in 1844; his grandfather, Solomon Beckley, emigrated to Van Buren Co., Iowa, at an early day; his father, Isaac A. LeFevre came to Iowa from New York State about 1842, and with Solomon Beckley engaged in mercantile business in Montrose in 1845; went to California in 1849, and died there in 1853; his mother is still a resident of Montrose. Mr. LeFevre married in 1870 Netta Scoville, a native of Ohio, born in 1 846; they have one child, Louis, born 1874. The LeFevre family are of Huguenot stock, and settled in Ulster Co., N.Y., in 1660, where there is still a large family connection.Hope this may be of some help to you!
