Hi Stephanie,

Guess we've corresponded before. I'll have to start keeping better records.

If you can trace your Frank family back to Albisheim, then I'll bet our Franks are connected somehow. It seems, however, that my Maria Elisabetha Frank is a full generation older (or more) than your Franks. Maria Elisabetha and Johann Philipp Wurster were married in 1812 in Albisheim. I know that three of their sons emigrated to America around 1840 or before, but I don't know if the parents emigrated. I think if we are ever able to make a connection between our two families, it will be further back in time and in Germany.

I don't recognize any of the names you listed, but many are names which appear in the Wurster family as well.

The locations you list are very intriguing. Franklin and Donnellson are pretty close to West Point, where my Wurster descendant lived. Perhaps the relatives who greeted your Franks were Wursters. I'll bet if you ever find that newspaper article, it will be written in German.

Let's keep each other posted if we find further Frank information. Good luck to both of us.

Sharon
