I need information on James Slusher who was born in 1817 in Virginia, married Nancy Cale in Preble county, Ohio, June 14, 1840. He died about 1870 in Lee county, Iowa. Did he have a sister by the name of Catherine, who married a William Brown in 1853 in Preble county? Did William Brown and Catherine Slusher migrate to Lee county, Iowa? Is there a connection with John and Mary (McGriff) Dupy as Mary McGriff's sister, Effa Ann married Joseph Cale, who was a brother of Nancy Cale. Did they all migrate to Lee county around 1855-56 from Preble county, Ohio? Catherine Slusher was living with John and Mary (McGriff) Dupy in 1850 in Washington Township, Preble county, Iowa.
