Henry Lewis Capehart d. 20 Dec 1920 and is buried in Sixteen Cemetery. We are told he had a country store in a town which was later called Tilton. The very small town had a school, church, and post office in the store. The school was called the Capehart School. Our source said it was abandoned in the 1970's and the town was sold for $1500 for about 2m acres of land but a clear abstract could not be found. It appears they only gave deeds of the roads. The store is gone but the church was still standing back in the 1800's.

Is there any information on Henry Lewis Capehart (name on his tombstone is Lewis Capehart), the store, the Capehart School and the church?

Thank you,

Zelda Capehart
