died Aug 21 at home in Langworthy; funeral Wayne Zion (does NOT say bur Wayne, but I agree with Ron Siebels); born Feb 11, 1868 in Knoxville, Ia, s/o Harm Dirks & Engel Rickels; married March 2, 1899 to Fredricka Dirks; moved to Jones Co in 1878, Wayne twp (Langworthy); wife survives, also 5 sons: Geo H Dirks of Anamosa, William F Dirks of Hopkinton, John F Dirks of Anamosa, August J Dirks & Rinehart Dirks of Langworthy; 3 daus: Mrs Henry A Harms of Monti, Mrs Wm Oltmanns of Martelle, Mrs John Martinsen of Anamosa

Monticello Express: May 2, 1960, p1: death of Mrs Friederike Hermine Dirks on April 27, 1960, burial Wayne Zion Cem; born Sept 14, 1880 in Hanover, Germany, d/o Dietrich & Margaretha Bodeker (Dirks ?); to US at age 2, to Wayne twp; married March 2, 1899 to Gerd Dirks, he died April 21, 1952; son Benhard died 1936 & son William in 1959; surviving sons: Geo H of Amber, John F & August, all of Monticello; Reinhard of Center Jct; daus: Minnie (Mrs Henry A Harms) of Monticello, Clara (Mrs Wm Oltmans) of Anamosa, & Anna (Mrs John Martensen) of Anamosa;
3 brothers: Gerd of Wyoming, John & Henry of Anamosa; 2 sisters Mrs Will Dirks of Monticello & Mrs WJ Oltmanns of Anamosa.
