Ruth,
Here's a small article about Rev. Fairall that I forgot to include with my previous list.
The Iowa Citizen, Iowa City, Iowa, March 4, 1892
THE CITY
Rev. H. H. Fairall, D.D., editor of the Iowa Methodist, is getting a large amount of free advertising because of his editorial mention of the benefits to be derived from the use of Ely's Cream Balm. All of the little papers of the west and many large ones too are publishing the "ad," including the Weekly Herald.
_______The following is the advertisement that was printed in many newspapers across the United States:
SOMETHING FOR ALL THE PREACHERS
Rev. H. H. Fairall, D.D., editor of the Iowa Methodist, says editorially, in the November (1883) number of his paper: "We have tested the merits of Ely's Cream Balm, and believe that, by a thorough course of treatment, it will cure almost every case of Catarrh. Ministers, as a class, are afflicted with head and throat troubles, and Catarrh seems more prevalent than ever. We cannot recommend Ely's Cream Balm too highly." Neither a liquid nor a snuff. Applied to nostrils with the finger.Thelma
