Thank-you Dawn! The dates are too late for my Lyle ancestors. Matthew Lyle's widow married Paul Crosson in 1859 so I thought I might find them in the Oxford newspapers but didn't. But you've opened up a new area of resources for me. I hadn't looked at digitized local newspapers before.
