I live in IC and have never heard of "the White Cross Home" you say it was in iowa city???the university of iowa hospital and mercy hospital had a place for unwed mothers.
have you contacted the dept. of public health in des moines iowa to get your mothers adoption papers opened? what all has been done and what inforamtion do you have besides her birth date?
