My mom

My mother was born 5-27-15 at a home for unwed mothers in Iowa City. Her birth certificate was redacted, no parents names, but my mother's birth name was shown as "Mary marcella." The second name was not capitalized so I wonder if that was meant as a middle name, or her mother's or father's name? She was born at, and adopted from, The White Cross Home.

Any ideas/suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
