Yes, I think Harriet and David are brother and sister. Their father was Felix Chrisman and their mother was Elizabeth Frain. David was born 12 Oct 1827, until now I had thought he might have been the youngest child. In 1851 David married Rachel in Chester County, Pa and in 1856 he moved his family to Johnson County, Ia. His mother came too, she had a brother, George Frain that had been living in Iowa for a number of years and that is why they moved there.
The Harriet you saw living with them in 1856, I believe is Hannah Rice, Rachel's step sister. Contact me direct at rfraysier@new.rr.com there is a ton of information I can send you on the Chrisman family, if Harriet is who I think she is.
I've never met anyone who descended from Felix before!!
