John wouldn't be buired in Linn Co. The Cedar Rapids Gazette was just reporting Solon news from Johnson County. If anything, I think he would be buried in Johnson County and not shipped back to Minnesota.

I would think you should be able to find an Iowa City newspaper obituary of John's death, which would give much more information. Trouble is, I do not have access to papers near the date he died. Perhaps you can find someone else to get that for you. You might try asking on the rootsweb mailing list for Johnson County or some other lookup volunteer.

It is curious about the other John Kripner. The mystery goes on!
