John Kripner

I am trying to find my 2nd great-grandfather's, John Kripner, birth and death information, as well as his parents' names. He married Mary Wonick sometime in the 1880s and they had 3 children: Emma (1888), Edward (1890) and Magdeline (1893). Magdeline is my great-grandmother and she married Joseph Machovec, my great-grandfather. I know Edward died at 18 yrs. old single. Emma married Clarus Ries. When John's son, Edward, died in Solon, Iowa newspapers said that John was "well known" in the area, but I have been unable to find anything on him that helps me trace his ancestry. Can anyone help me?
