Wagon Trains

A couple of years ago, via your web site, I read information -- I think letters -- speaking about two different wagon trains that left Jefferson County after 1850 -- bound for the Gold Fields in California.

Now, I cannot find these letters, and would like to see them again. I have discovered that it is very possible that my ancestors travelled across southern Iowa with the first one; and then my great-great grandfather joined the second one to go on to California.
