After answering letters for 33 years, if I recall
one bunch left from Abingdon IA that included a
doctor, name escapes me now.....and the other
from Birmingham IA, just barely in Van Buren Co
to our south. There was a Prather family on one
of these that had a descendant that shared a daily
journal that I imagine is still in the library
files.

I am 84 and retired and seldom go to the library.
My replacement is Richard Thompson and he is
listed as the county researcher on the" Welcome
to Jefferson County" page. Good luck.
