So will try it again:
I answered letters for Jefferson Co queries for
33 years and went to the data HERE AT HOME to
gather the following
--1840, 1850, 1856 census, none of these families
are here
---1843 Poll Tax book...lists Joseph FLINT as

paying taxes on $150.00 of personal property &
also R. R. Harper paying taxes on $330.00 of
personal property. Neither one owned land to be
taxed.
---1876 Special Centennial History booklet lists

Joseph FLINT, not Flink.
---probate index l840 to 1966....none listed
---gravestones to 1990 ....none listed
---family sheet drawer....none listed
---early death notices in newspapers....l4 Jun

1866 grave clothes purchased for William

Harper

Looks like they must heard "go west young man"
and ended up in Nebraska or Oregon.

I plan to quit with this as I retired 5 yrs
ago when I turned 80.Good luck and if someone
writes please share it back to our library extensive l0,000 family sheet files... bye now....verda
