My name is Hanna Howard and I work for the Iowa Legislature’s Legislative Services Agency in Des Moines. I’m doing a bit of biographical/historical research on past legislators this summer and I’m trying to find information about a few legislators who served Jefferson County in the mid-nineteenth century, around the time Iowa was admitted to the Union. Their names, the Legislative or General Assemblies (LA or GA) in which they served, and the years they served are listed below:

Harper, Reuben R.; LA 7; 1845
Flink, Joseph; LA 8; 1845-1846
Baker, William; GA 2; 1848-1850
Rogers, W.T.; GA 4; 1852-1854
Wamsley, James; GA 5; 1854-1856

If anyone can provide any information about these men (ie. birth and/or death dates, spouse(s)’ and children’s names, etc.), I would very much appreciate it if you could pass it on to me!
