Page 10, Column 1Leroy HIX Dies At 90
Leroy HIX, 90, a long time resident of Fairfield, died at 1:30 a.m. today at the Nelson Nursing Home. He had been seriously ill for the past two weeks. His home was at 606 W. Burlington Ave.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10 a.m. at the Behner Funeral Home in charge of Rev. David R. Kennedy with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday evening from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Mr. HIX was born February 19, 1887 at Milford, Ill., the son of T.T. and Louisa SIX HIX. On February 1, 1908 he was married to Maude L. METZ who passed away July 12, 1954. In December 1956 he married Ethel DUDGEON who died in January 1967. He was an employee of the Iowa Electric company for over 28 years and a resident of Fairfield for 54 years. He was a member of the Birmingham United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Harley DROZ and Hazel A. HIX, both of Fairfield; three sons, Kenneth L. of Fairfield, Clyde R. HIX of Clinton and Verne E. HIX of Tyler, Texas; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and one brother, Homer HIX of Milford, Ill. He was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters.

Attending last rites for Roy HIX on Aug. 22 were many relatives and friends from a distance. They have since returned to their homes.

Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Davis, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Davis of Stockport, Mr. and Mrs. Delmer DUDGEON, Mrs. Gwen Aarp of Durant, and Mrs. Fred Strothman and daughter of Mount Pleasant, and Mr. and Mrs. Steve BRODIE and daughter from Des Moines.

TO ALL PERSONS INTERESTED IN THE ESTATE OF LEROY HIX, DECEASED:
YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED THAT ON THE 2ND DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1977, THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF LEROY HIX DECEASED BEARING DATE OF THE 20TH DAY OF APRIL, 1967, WAS ADMITTED TO PROBATE IN THE ABOVE NAMED COURT AND THAT CARL BERG WAS APPOINTED EXECUTOR OF SAID ESTATE.
