Funeral Services For Brighton Resident Held In East Pleasant Plain

BRIGHTON, Ia., July 31 -- Funeral services were held this morning at St. Joseph's Catholic church in East Pleasant Plain for Mrs. Frank SHELANGOSKI, 61, who died last Saturday.

Mrs. SHELANGOSKI, who underwent surgery two weeks ago, passed away at the Washington county hospital. Services were conducted by the Rev. Paul Wetzstein with burial in St. Joseph's cemetery.

Mrs. SHELANGOSKI was born May 5, 1889 in Walnut township, Jefferson county. Her husband, Frank SHELANGOSKI, preceded her in death six years ago. Since March she had made her home with a brother, Leo MELINSKI, near Pleasant Plaiin (sic) where she helped care for her mother, Mrs. Josephine MELINSKI.

Survivors include her mother; Leo MELINSKI, John MELINSKI, East Pleasant Plain, and Andrew MELINSKI, Brighton, brothers; Joe and Frank MELINSKI, Washington, half brothers; Mrs. Mary POLARK, Fairbanks, Iowa, and Mrs. Gertrude POLCYN, Joliet, Ill.; sisters; and Mrs. Anna STRANSKI, Cicero, Ill., half sister.

Services were in charge of the Omar Hoskins funeral home in Brighton.
