Page 8, Column 6Brighton Youth Dies In Iowa City Hospital
BRIGHTON, Ia., July 24 -- Funeral services will be held tomorrow for Lawrence SHELANGOSKI, 5-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard SHELANGOSKI, who passed away Saturday evening at Children's hospital in Iowa City (note: in Johnson Co., IA).
The SHELANGOSKI youth was stricken with rheumatic fever last March and had been a patient at the hospital since April 7. He was born September 7, 1944, in Brighton. He is survived by his parents and two brothers, James and Robert.
Last rites will be held at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow at St. Joseph's church in East Pleasant Plain in charge of the Rev. Paul Wetzstein. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at the Omar Hoskins funeral home in Brighton at 8 p.m. tonight.
