BRIGHTON -- Magdalena FRITZ, long-time resident of the community, died this morning at the Nelson Nursing Home at Fairfield where she had been a patient since last April.
The funeral will be Monday at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at East Pleasant Plain where she had been a member. The Rev. Francis Bass will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. The rosary will be Sunday at 7:30 p.m. in the Gould Funeral Home in Brighton.
Mrs. FRITZ was born September 5, 1882, in Keokuk County, a daughter of Peter and Magdalena ADRIAN SIREN (sic - SIEREN). She was married Nov. 22, 1905, to Vincent FRITZ at the Clear Creek Church south of Keota.
She is survived by a son, Raymond of Brighton, nine grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; a brother, Charles SIREN (sic) of Ottumwa and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband in January 1964, a son Leonard, three sisters and two brothers.
