BRIGHTON, Ia. -- Leonard Vincent FRITZ, 50, Jefferson county farmer, died at 12:30 a.m. today at his home after an illness of four months.
FRITZ was a lifelong resident of the Brighton area. His farm home is three miles south of Brighton in Walnut township.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph church in East Pleasant Plain. Rites will be conducted by the Rev. Henry B. Geers. Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery. The Rosary will be recited Sunday at 8 p.m. at the Gould Funeral home in Brighton.
FRITZ was born Dec. 18, 1908 in Washington county, the son of Vincent and Magdalena SIREN (sic - SIEREN) FRITZ. He was married to Genevieve KURTZ April 20, 1932. He was a member of St. Joseph church.
Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Merle BATES and Mrs. Bob REDLINGER, Washington; two sons, Gary and Larry, at home; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vincent FRITZ, East Pleasant Plain. Five grandchildren and one brother, Raymond FRITZ, Brighton, also survive.
