Services for East Pleasant Plain woman to be Wednesday morning at 9:30Mrs. Emma FRITZ, 84, passed away at 6:30 o'clock this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John PACHA, with whom she has made her home for many years. Mrs. FRITZ had been an invalid for some time, but had been seriously ill only since Saturday.
Services will be held Wednesday morning at 9:30 o'clock at St. Joseph's church in East Pleasant Plain, with Father Schief in charge. Burial will be in the cemetery adjoining the church.
Mrs. FRITZ was a daughter of Vincent and Margaret POHREN, and was born June 20, 1855, east of Salina. She was one of six children, and had spent her entire life in Jefferson county. On June 27, 1873, she was married to Michael FRITZ, who preceded her in death March 23, 1924. They were the parents of 13 children, only three of which reached maturity.
Surviving her are two sons and one daughter, Peter J,. FRITZ of East Pleasant Plain, William FRITZ of Davenport, and Mrs. John PACHA at whose home she died. Surviving also are thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. One sister and one brother, Mrs. Chris MINEART of East Pleasant Plain, and Peter POHREN of Burlington also survive.
