Warren D. THOMPSON

OTTUMWA - Warren D. THOMPSON, 75, of Deep River, died at 10:15 a.m. December 12, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Society-Ottumwa (note: in Wapello Co., IA).

He was born October 19, 1941 in Bakersfield, CA to William and Rose FRAYLEY THOMPSON. He married Sharon McGURK on September 12, 1964 and she preceded him in death in March of 2012.

A resident of Deep River since 1995, he served 13 years with the U.S. Army.

He loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving are his sons, Kelly (Amy) THOMPSON of Fairfield, James (Sarah) THOMPSON of Montezuma and Shawn (Stacy) THOMPSON of What Cheer; 15 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Ann (Ed) EPPERLY and Janice RABORG both of Trona, CA and Nell (Daryl) RANK of Seattle, WA.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at First Presbyterian Evangelical Church in Montezuma (note: in Poweshiek Co., IA).
