Brace D. OLIVER, 81, formerly of rural Libertyville, died at 10:40 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2016, at the home of his son near Stockport (note: in Van Buren Co., IA).

Arrangements are pending at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua.

Brace D. OLIVER

Brace D. OLIVER, 81, formerly of rural Libertyville, died Tuesday night, Aug. 30, 2016, at the home of his son near Stockport where he had lived the past two years.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Dale Raatz officiating. Burial will be in Brethren Cemetery, rural Batavia.

Visitation will open at 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with family present 5-7 p.m.

Gifts to a memorial to be designated later by the family can be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 26959 Route J-16, Stockport 52651.

Mr. OLIVER was born Sept. 28, 1934, near Selma, the son of F. Abraham and Florence ROGERS OLIVER. He married Rose BARTHOLOMEW Jan. 7, 1956, in Indiana. She died Jan. 5, 2010.

Mr. OLIVER spent his active life farming in rural Libertyville. He was pastor of Jesus Is The Answer Fellowship Church in Ottumwa and had made many trips to foreign countries as a missionary, including Africa, Philippines and Guatemala.

Survivors include: two sons, Gordon OLIVER and wife Pamela of Stockport and Ed OLIVER and wife Trudy of Batavia; one daughter, Karen PRIDEAUX of O'Fallon, Missouri; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Laddie OLIVER of Washington and Gordon OLIVER of Douds; three sisters, Vivian SHERRED of Denver, Colorado, Violet OLIVER of Lansing, Michigan, and Miriam HEADLY of Hutchinson, Kansas.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda ZUEHLKE.
