Margaret MICKELS, 98, died today, Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016, at McCreedy House in Washington, Iowa (note: in Washington Co., IA).

Arrangements are pending at Behner Funeral Home & Crematory in Fairfield.

Margaret SEE MICKELS

Margaret SEE MICKELS, age 98 of Richland, died Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016 at McCreedy Home in Washington, Iowa.

The funeral wil be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield with Pastor Danny Cary officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield.

Cards and memorials can be mailed to Tim MICKELS, 32300 - 305th St., Richland, IA 52585. Memorials will go to 180 Teen Center in Washington, Iowa. Online condolences can be made to the family at behnerfh.com.

Mrs. MICKELS was born July 31, 1918 in Fairfield, the daughter of James and Bertha (OSBORN) SEE. She married Richard "Dick" James MICKELS Dec. 4, 1951 in Memphis, MO. He died March 8, 1991.

Mrs. MICKELS was a long time resident of Fairfield and had moved to Richland in later years. She had worked at Fairfield Glove, Universal Plastics, Parkview Care Facility and as a homemaker. Margaret enjoyed crocheting, word search puzzles, long drives and spending time with friends and family.

Survivors include two sons, Tim MICKELS and wife Linda of Richland and David MICKELS also of Richland; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two great-great granddaughters; one sister, Beluah ANDERSON of Melcher; and one brother-in-law, Joe MICKELS of Santa Maria, California.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one infant grandson, Richie MICKELS; one son, James McSHANE; one daughter-in-law, Gail MICKELS; 3 sisters, Sylvia FISHER, Hazel ADLER, and Loretta EDLER; and two brothers, Harry SEE and Merlin SEE.
