OLIVER, Rose M. -- Rose M. OLIVER, 73, of rural Libertyville, died at 8:22 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010, at the Van Buren County Hospital emergency room in Keosauqua.

A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Jerry Lanferman officiating. Burial will be in Brethren Cemetery, northwest of Libertyville.

Open visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 4-6:30 p.m.

Memorials to Van Buren County Hospital may be left at the funeral home or may be mailed to the family at 13672 107th St., Libertyville 52567.

Mrs. OLIVER was born June 10, 1936, in Pine Island, Minn., the daughter of Lester and Louise RUBIN BARTHOLOMEW. She married Brace OLIVER Jan. 7, 1956, in Indiana.

Mrs. OLIVER grew up in Hastings, Minn., and graduated from Hastings High School. After marrying, she and her husband moved to their farm southwest of Libertyville. She graduated from Indian Hills Community College and worked 35 years at Van Buren County Hospital as a nurse's aide, licensed practical nurse and registered nurse.

Mrs. OLIVER attended Jesus Is The Answer Fellowship Church in Ottumwa.

She was a Hawkeye fan and a fan of any team on which her grandchildren played. She enjoyed helping others and traveling.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Gordon OLIVER and wife Pamela of Stockport and Ed OLIVER and wife Trudy of Batavia; one daughter, Karen PRIDEAUX of O'Fallon, Mo.; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Bernice KASER of Toledo, Ohio, Mavis BRUMBAUGH of Vandalia, Ohio, and Betty HORTON of Sturgeon Lake, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Delores DENZER.
