Betty Marie HICKENBOTTOM, 84, of Fairfield, died Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.

Betty Marie HICKENBOTTOM

Betty Marie HICKENBOTTOM, 84, of Fairfield, died Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.

The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Danny Cary officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.

Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hospice or Evergreen Cemetery. Cards and memorials can be mailed to Steve HICKENBOTTOM, 1686 Old Highway 34, Fairfield 52556. Online condolences can be made at www.behnerfh.com.

Mrs. HICKENBOTTOM was born Nov. 28, 1931, in Fairfield, the daughter of Fred Ernest and Golda Marie HYDE HARRISON. She married Hugh Lyle HICKENBOTTOM July 11, 1948, in Lancaster, Missouri. He died Feb. 22, 2008.

Mrs. HICKENBOTTOM was a life-long resident of Fairfield.

She loved to garden, play cards, travel, and most of all, spend time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. HICKENBOTTOM was a member of Fairfield First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and spent many hours reading the Bible.

Survivors include: two sons, Mark HICKENBOTTOM of Fairfield and Steve HICKENBOTTOM with wife Roxanne of Fairfield; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by: her parents; daughter, Linda Marie KENNEY; brother, Eugene HARRISON; and daughter-in-law, Kerry HICKENBOTTOM.
