James T. GREENFIELD, 75, of rural Douds, died at 10:07 a.m. today, Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at Keosauqua Health Care Center in Keosauqua.
Arrangements are pending at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds.

James Terry GREENFIELD, 75, of Douds, died at 12:07 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at Keosauqua Health Care Center in Keosauqua.
The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, with the Rev. Jerry Caughron officiating. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery near-Douds (sic) (note: in Van Buren Co., IA).
Visitation will open at 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with family present 6-8 p.m. Masonic rites by the Keosauqua Masonic lodge will follow visitation.
Memorials to Christ United Methodist Church in Douds can be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 3389 Pleasant Creek Road, Palo 52324.
Mr. GREENFIELD was born April 26, 1941, in Douds, the son of Cyrus H. and Alta Geneva COOPER GREENFIELD.
He grew up in Douds and graduated from Douds High School.
He worked for Continental Airlines and Air France in Chicago, farmed and raised cattle in the Douds-Selma/Keosauqua areas and worked a number of years for the U.S. Department of Agriculture in various locations around the United States.
He was always active in the Republican Party, served as Van Buren County chairman and 1st District chairman, and for a time served as executive director of the party fo the state of Iowa and lived in Indianola.
Mr. GREENFIELD was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Keosauqua Lodge No. 10, Ancient Free & Accepted Masons, Davenport Scottish Rite Masonic Bodies and KAABA Shrine Temple in Davenport.
Survivors include: two sons, Ricky GREENFIELD and wife Dena of Keokuk and Douglas GREENFIELD and wife Jacquie of Cedar Rapids; six grandchildren; one sister, Sondra DICK of Douds; four brothers, Richard of Fairfield, Dwain of Douds, William of Davenport and Michael of Douds.
His parents preceded him in death.
