Mary A. BROOKS

Mary A. BROOKS, 87, of Fairfield, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

A graveside service is set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Brethren Cemetery northwest of Libertyville, with the Rev. Diane Brokken officiating.

Memorials can be made to Hospice Compassus.

Arrangements are in the care of Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Mrs. BROOKS was born March 31, 1927, in Fort Madison, the daughter of Leo Levaine and Lela Edith Ellen McCLEARY GIBSON. She married Lonny BROOKS Oct. 1, 1943, in Ottumwa.

Mrs. BROOKS graduated from Fairfield High School in 1945 and the University of Southern Florida, with a master's degree in 1965.

She had worked as a stenographer for the Veterans Administration.

She was a member of the Presbyterian church.

Deceased family members include: her husband, Lonny; one son, Patrick Michael BROOKS; her parents; and one sister, Marjorie MANNING.
