Evelyn M. SMITH, 85, of Fairfield, died today, Thursday, Jan, 29, 2015, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield is helping the family with arrangements.

Evelyn M. SMITH, 85, of Fairfield, died Thursday, Jan, 29, 2015, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

The funeral is set for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hope Lutheran Church in Germanville. Burial will be at Hope Lutheran Cemetery in Germanville.

Visitation for family and friends will be 4-7 p.m. Monday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Mrs. SMITH's name. Cards and memorials can be sent to 2783 180th St., Fairfield 52556. Online condolences can be made at www.behnerfh.com.

Mrs. SMITH was born Aug. 17, 1929, in Brighton, the daughter of Harold and Mildred SINN REBLING. She married Ralph Edward SMITH July 13, 1947, at Hope Lutheran Church. He died March 23, 2009.

Mrs. SMITH lived in the Jefferson County area all her life. She was a schoolteacher, worked at American Chain and Cable and was a farm wife.

Mrs. SMITH was a member of Hope Lutheran Church.

She loved spending time with family.

Survivors include: one son, Harold SMITH and wife Calista FIEDLER of Fairfield; two granddaughters; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Donald REBLING of Brighton, Paul REBLING of Wayland and Harold REBLING of Fairfield; and two sisters, Anna Mae BURGER of Fairfield and Norma MYERS of Fairfield.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by: her parents; one son, Doug SMITH; and daughter-in-law, Colleen SMITH.
