Janet PRATT, 81, of Naperville, Illinois, and formerly of Keosauqua, died today, Friday Jan. 30, 2015, at Seasons Hospice Inpatient Center in Naperville, Illinois.

Arrangements are pending at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.

Janet Ilene WHITE PRATT, 81, of rural Keosauqua, died Friday, Jan. 30, 2015, at Seasons Hospice in Naperville, Illinois.

The funeral is set for 10:30 a.m. Monday at Bonaparte Baptist Church, with the Rev. Mark Caston officiating. Burial will be in Dibble Cemetery south of Stockport (note: in Van Buren Co., IA).

Visitation, with family present, will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, followed by an Eastern Star Service by Stockport Chapter No. 544 Order of Eastern Star.

Memorials to Bonaparte Library or Bonaparte First Responders can be left at the funeral home or church or mailed to the family, c/o Deborah VAN DORIN, 3N868 Baert Lane, St. Charles, IL 60175.

Mrs. PRATT was born Feb. 22, 1933, in Bonaparte, the daughter of Rollo H. and Helen C. McCOMB WHITE. She married Darrell D. PRATT May 1, 1955, in Bonaparte. He died July 11, 2005.

She grew up in Bonaparte and graduated from Bonaparte High School. She worked at White's Shopping Center with her parents and on the Pratt family farm in the Harrisburg Township in Van Buren County.

Mrs. PRATT attended Bonaparte Baptist Church and Harrisburg Baptist Church and was a member of Stockport Chapter No. 544, Order of Eastern Star.

She had a passion for family history and chronicling their genealogy. She loved wildlife, including the neighborhood cats. She will be remembered by family for her homemade waffles and animated stories.

Survivors include: one son, Dennis PRATT of Knoxville; five daughters, Dena PRATT of Dexter, Diana HOWE of Mukilteo, Washington, Darcy PRATT of Woodinville, Washington, Dee AUXIER of Aurora, Illinois, and Deborah VAN DORIN of St. Charles, Illinois; five granddaughters; two great-grandsons; and two sisters, Patricia Joan HEMINGER of Paducah, Kentucky, and Anita KING of Macon, Missouri.
