Dorothy CAMPBELL

Dorothy Fern CAMPBELL, 91, of Ottumwa, died at 9:32 p.m. Monday, Feb. 2, 2015, at Good Samaritan Society-Ottumwa.

The body has been cremated. A memorial service is planned at 10 a.m. Monday at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa, with Gary Cradic officiating. Inurnment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.

The family will be present one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hospice serving Davis & Wapello Counties or Heartland Humane Society, both in Ottumwa.

Mrs. CAMPBELL was born Feb. 22, 1923, in Fairfield, the daughter of Herschel "Boots" and Ollie BOTTS COURTNEY. She married Keith G. CAMPBELL April 29 1939. He died Oct. 18, 1996.

A graduate of Fairfield High School, Mrs. CAMPBELL had been a resident of Ottumwa since 1955. She had worked at John Deere Ottumwa Works and United Federal Savings & Loan, retiring in 1989.

She was a member of The Church at Fourth & Washington and Just Friends.

She had been a Hospice volunteer since 1999, and was the 2005 Hospice Volunteer of the Year.

Survivors include one sister, Patricia BATES of Fairfield.
