Thelma M. WILLIAMS, 87, formerly of Douds, died at 2:01 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014, at Good Samaritan Society-Van Buren in Keosauqua.
Arrangements are pending at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds.

Thelma M. WILLIAMS, 87, formerly of Douds, died at 2:01 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014, at Good Samaritan Society-Van Buren in Keosauqua.
The funeral is planned for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, with the Rev. Phil Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Leando Cemetery in Douds.
Visitation with family present will be 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday prior to the service.
Memorials to Douds Community Club can be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 15568 Emerald Road, Douds 52551.
Mrs. WILLIAMS was born Oct. 10, 1927, in Hockerville, Oklahoma, the daughter of Harrison and Goldie ARNHEART HODGE. She married Alva Ray WILLIAMS May 26, 1946, in Oklahoma. He died June 9, 2011.
Mrs. WILLIAMS grew up in Oklahoma. She and her husband lived in Cedar Rapids for many years until moving to Douds in 2007. She entered the Good Samaritan Center in June 2011.
She had worked for Salvation Army and Wilson Foods and did volunteer work for AMVETS, all in Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include: three sons, Alva WILLIAMS Jr. and wife Cathy of Cedar Rapids, Jerry WILLIAMS and wife Doris of Douds and Rick WILLIAMS and wife Tammy of Center Point; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by: two brothers, Jesse and Orville HODGE; and one sister, Ethel OSBORNE.
