Kenneth E. CRONK Sr.

Kenneth "Barney" E. CRONK Sr., 91, of Keosauqua died Monday, December 22, 2014 under hospice care at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 26, 2014 at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua, with Lee McIntosh officiating. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Friday prior to the service. Cremation will follow the service and burial of cremains will be at a later date in Fellows Cemetery, Keosauqua (note: in Van Buren Co., IA). Memorials to Hospice may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 1313 Front Street, Keosauqua, Iowa 52565.

CRONK was born March 13, 1923 in Weaver, Iowa to Samuel and Pearl CHESTNUT CRONK, and married Guelda PEEL on Dec. 19, 1953 in Carthage, Illinois.

He grew up in Weaver and moved to Keosauqua in 1968. He enjoyed farming and working with his livestock, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family including his nieces and nephews.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Guelda, two sons Kenneth CRONK Jr. (Crystal) of Sigourney and Philip CRONK (Sue) of Keosauqua, a daughter, Judy BARKER (Dan) of York, Pennsylvania, ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Edmund (Bub) CRONK, three sisters, Edna WOODRUM, Florence MILLER and Virginia BILLINGSLEY, a daughter, Karen CRONK and a granddaughter, Stacy BARKER.
