Eileen L. TAEGER

Eileen L. TAEGER, 92, formerly of Stockport, died at 9:40 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011, at Good Samaritan Society-Van Buren in Keosauqua.

A service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Peggy Ellingson officiating. Burial will be in Spencer Cemetery in Stockport.

Open visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where family will be present 5-7 p.m.

Memorials to Spencer Cemetery may be left at the funeral home or may be mailed to the family at 15712 Yellow Ave., Hillsboro 52630.

Mrs. TAEGER was born Dec. 7, 1918, in Sunnyslope, Alberta, Canada, the daughter of Edward and Margaret CRANDALL LUTH. She married Cleo G. TAEGER Feb. 4, 1942, in Houghton. He died March 12, 2007.

Mrs. TAEGER graduated from high school in Calgary, Alberta. The TAEGERs farmed near Hillsboro and then retired to Stockport in 1994. They moved into the Good Samaritan center April 11, 2006.

Mrs. TAEGER was Methodist.

Survivors include two sons, Ervin TAEGER and wife Joanne of Stockport and Eldon TAEGER and wife Jane of Hillsboro; one grandson; seven stepgrandchildren; and 12 stepgreat-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter-in-law, Susan TAEGER.
