HOOPER, Virginia M. -- Virginia M. HOOPER, 87, of Keosauqua, died at 6:15 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010, at Good Samaritan Society-Van Buren Hospice in Keosauqua.

A service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. ellis andrews (lower case sic) officiating. Burial will be in Miller Chapel Cemetery, northeast of Keosauqua.

Open visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6-7:30 p.m.

Memorials to Southeast Renal Dialysis Center in Fairfield may be left at the funeral home or may be mailed to the family at 10719 Jasmine Ave, Birmingham 52535.

Mrs. HOOPER was born March 11, 1923, in Utica, the daughter of Worthy and Ethel Vera HARPER PRATT. She married Harry S. HOOPER May 15, 1943, in Fairfield. He died March 25, 2010.

The HOOPERs farmed in the Stockport and Bloomfield areas. They retired to Keosauqua in 1996.

Mrs. HOOPER was a member of Stockport Christian Church and neighborhood clubs.

Survivors include one son, Tim HOOPER and wife Susan of Boone; two daughters, Linda LARSON and husband Jim of Mancelona, Mich., and Gloria MATHIAS and husband Wayne of Birmingham; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; ane one brother, Keith PRATT of Birmingham.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson; one brother, Darrell PRATT; and three sisters, Maxine ISAACSON, Barbara HOLMES and Marjorie MARTIN.
