HINSHAW, Kevin -- Kevin HINSHAW, 77, of Richland, died late Tuesday evening, Aug. 31, 2010, at Hospice of Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.
Arrangements are pending at Gould Funeral Home of Richland.

HINSHAW, Kevin D. -- Kevin D. HINSHAW, 77, of Richland, died at 8:48 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at Mercy Hospital Hospice Unit in Iowa City.
A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Woolson Friends Church, with the Rev. Harlan Van Voorst officiating. Burial will be in Richland Friends Cemetery, with military honors by American Legion Post No. 504 of Richland.
Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Friday at Gould Funeral Home in Richland, where the family will be present from 6-8 p.m.
Memorials to Iowa City Hospice may be left at the church or funeral home or may be mailed to the family at P.O. Box 3, Richland 52585.
Mr. HINSHAW was born Nov. 22, 1932, near Richland, the son of Loren and Gertrude SHY HINSHAW. He married Donna EMONIN May 14, 1953, in Junction City, Kan. She died Jan. 25, 2009.
Mr. HINSHAW grew up in Richland and graduated from Richland High School in 1951. He lived his entire life on the family's Century Farm east of Richland. He was a farmer, real estate broker and insurance salesman. He also sold and serviced Homelite Chainsaws. He had been in failing health.
Mr. HINSHAW served in the United States Army during the Korean War,
Mr. HINSHAW was a long-time member of Richland Trinity Friends Church and was attending Woolson Friends Church. He was a member of Richland American Legion Post No. 504 and Richland Masonic Lodge No. 38 AF & AM.
Mr. HINSHAW enjoyed visiting with family and friends, caring for his pets, partaking in outdoor activities and rebuilding and selling cars.
Survivors include one son, Dennis HINSHAW and wife Jackie of Richland; two daughters, Dixie RICHARDSON and husband Nick of Ottumwa and Jeannie PEDRICK and husband Jeff of Richland; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Kermit HINSHAW of Richland.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Loren Keith.
