DODDS, Frances -- Frances DODDS, 89, of rural Stockport, died at 5:28 p.m. Tuesday, July 13, 2010, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle accident near her home Tuesday morning.

Arrangements are pending at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.

DODDS, Frances E. -- Frances E. DODDS, 89, of rural Stockport, died at 5:28 p.m. Tuesday, July 13, 2010, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday morning near her home.

A service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Stockport Christian Church, with the Rev. John Griffith officiating. Burial will be in Miller Chapel Cemetery, southwest of Stockport.

Family visitation will be from 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Memorials to Stockport Christian Church or Stockport Public Library may be left at the church or funeral home or may be mailed to the family at P.O. Box 66, Keosauqua 52565.

Arrangements are in the care of Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.

Mrs. DODDS was born March 23, 1921, in Keosauqua, the daughter of Benjamin H. and Dott ROUSH WHITCANACK. She married W. Harve DODDS April 21, 1939, in Fairfield. He died May 31, 2001.

Mrs. DODDS graduated from Keosauqua High School. She and her husband farmed on the DODDS family farm in the Utica community south of Stockport.

Mrs. DODDS was a member of Stockport Christian Church and a longtime member of Stockport LLG Club. She was a past matron and secretary of Order of the Eastern Star Stockport Chapter No. 544.

Survivors include one daughter, Nadine RAMBO and husband Scott of Keosauqua; one son, Norman DODDS and wife Laura of Keosauqua; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mabel WELLS and Betty HENDRICKS, both of Keosauqua; and one brother, Earl WHITCANACK of Keosauqua.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one infant son, Larry D. DODDS; three brothers, Harold, Karl, and Rex WHITCANACK; and one sister, Pauline SHIPLEY.
