PEEBLER, Ralph V. -- Ralph V. PEEBLER, 85, of Wheaton, Ill., died Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at home.
A funeral was held July 14 at Hultgren Funeral Home in Wheaton, with the Rev. Kyle Roggenbuck officiating.
Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton, 715 N. Carlton Ave., Wheaton IL 60187, or to CNS Home Health and Hospice, 690 E. North Ave., Carol Stream, IL 60188.
Mr. PEEBLER was born June 16, 1924, in Libertyville, the son of Ralph and Ruth PRESTON PEEBLER. He married Rosalie VAN DYKE.
Mr. PEEBLER received a bachelor's degree in journalism from Iowa State University. He wrote for Capper's Farmer Magazine in Topeka, Kan. He then worked in agricultural advertising and Brown Ad Agency in Chicago. He and a friend established their own advertising agency for Agrochemical, Inter Agriculture. He later established his own company Peebler and Company, which dealt with advertising, marketing and public relations for agrochemical and farm machinery.
Mr. PEEBLER enjoyed farming on his parents' farm in Libertyville, gardening, golfing and playing bridge with his wife and friends.
Survivors include four children, Cynthia PEEBLER of Wheaton, Lezli ROGERS and husband Tom of San Diego, Calif., Steven PEEBLER of Chicago, Ill., and Ralph PEEBLER and wife Michelle of Ramona, Calif.; two granddaughters; and one sister, Marjorie BLEDSOE of Coeur D'Alene, Idaho.
He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; and one brother, Leland PEEBLER.
