lost photographs

I am searching for the original photographs of John Jandern Mudgett, Harriet Smith Mudgett and former slave Robert Mitchell which were included in the article "John Mudgett-Trail Blazer" published in the History of Newton, Iowa, 1992. I have the book so I am not looking for copies from it but rather the originals owned by Arlie Mudgett in order to get better digital copies made. Her family has not been able to locate them in her inherited possessions. In about 1991, Arlie was interviewed about her grandfather by Irene Hotger Zickel who I believe was married to a descendent of Myron Mudgett, so they may have been cousins in law. Arlie passed away before publication of the book so I do not know if the pictures were returned to her family or the Zickel family. Irene passed away in 2002, so if any of you know her family, could you forward this email? Thank you so much!!!
