[From a bible in the family of Edith May Roberts [McMurray Luck], copied c. 1966. Transcribed November, 2007 exactly as in the hand-written transcription from 1966 with the exception of [notes added]. Edith, the g-gdau of WA and Mary Murrell, helped with the 1966 transcription as she knew the family names well. All births are in Botetourt County, Virginia, except possibly Wiley A.’s- he was born in Virginia, county unknown. Elizabeth Murrell married John Roberts in 1857 and they settled in Prairie City, Jasper County, Iowa in 1868.]

Wiley A. Murrell was born in the year of our Lord Feb the 3 day 1805
[in Virginia; parents John Murrell and ? possibly ___ Anderson, or father possibly William L Murrell and Elizabeth or Nancy Lax.]

Mary Hunts was born in the year of our Lord Sep 9th 1806
[Parents Henry Hance and Catherine Coffman; name Mary Magdalene Huntz/Hunts/Honce/Hance.]

Elizabeth Murrell daughter of Wiley Murrell was born in the year of our Lord Feb the [1 or 4?] 1835 [Note: Feb 1 is date in other documents; middle name was Ann(e).]
