Nordens Brodre Society

In my great great grandfather's obit, Soren Petersen, it was mentioned that he belonged to the
Nordens Brodre Society and that this society had the funeral reception for his family & friends.

I have searched the internet over and over, and I cannot find any reference to this society, even by changing the spelling to Border...just in case it was a misspelling in the newspaper obit.

This is just a the weirdest thing to me, that I cannot find even an inkling as to what this was...in any context, nor have I heard of it before. I am assuming it was for Scandinavian emigrants....but you know what happens when you assume !!!
