We are writing a book on my great grandfather Bernard Hintgen and family from Tete Des Morts Township. Bernard arrived with his sister Anna who later married Mathias Even, and father Peter Hintgen 5-23-1855 from Hostert, Luxembourg and purchased his first 40 acres, cabin and apputenences from a Mary Booth 10-23-1855 in the SE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of section 31. Bernard married Anna Reistroffer, daughter of Dominic and Anna (Fritz) Reistroffer, 12-21-1858. Children; Anna + Peter Miller, Jacob (Hengtgen)+ Wilhelmine Walter, Nicholas + Katherine Hingtgen, Margaret + Urban Stoltz. Anna died 2-3-1870. Bernard married Catherine Theisen, daughter of Peter and Elizabeth (Thill) Theisen, 11-23-1870 Children; Elizabeth + John Becker, Mary + Joseph Bies, Anna + John H. Wagener, Theodore + Ellanora Feuerbach, Susan + Henry Huss, Michael + Frances Freese and Peter B. + Minnie Krantz. Looking for any data and pictures on all of these families and especially a picture of the Bernard Hintgen farm , later the Peter B. Hingtgen farm, Then Henry and Augusta Keuter, Louis Till and now owned by Loren Sieverding. However only one building remains. If anyone else is tracing these families we will gladly share information.
