You can find people with the name of Roling or Rolling in varous federal censuses. One Roling married a Virginia Deppe ( a cousin ). There is a John Rolling who was an immigrant from Luxembourg. He had a son, John F. Rolling, who owned a drugstore in Bellevue, a hundred years ago. My great-grandfsther Michael Altfillisch was a friend of John Rolling. His son helped my great-grandmother Caroline prepare legal documents and make court appearances. When my great-grandmother applied for her pension as a widow of a Civil War veteran. It was John F. Rolling who helped her apply for the pension. He was listed on her application as her representative.
